Dr. Dieter Olpp
Dr. Dieter Olpp joined Wallinger Ricker Schlotter Tostmann as a patent engineer in 2009, after having gained significant practical experience in his career in industrial R&D in the Information and Communications Technology field with a strong track record in software development. He is admitted as European Patent Attorney (since 2014) and as German patent attorney (since 2019).

Technical Expertise
Mathematics and Computer Science studies at the Technical University
of Brunswick (Germany) and at the University of Cambridge (UK) followed
by Ph.D. studies at the Technical University of Brunswick in the field of
Discrete Mathematics (Graph Theory, Combinatorics and Discrete
Optimization); scholar of the German National Academic Foundation.

From 1996 to 2009: active in the Corporate Research and Development department of Siemens Corporation in Munich, Germany, first in the field of Discrete Optimization and later in the field of Intelligent Autonomous Systems, in particular on Software Agents and Peer-to-Peer Technology; extensive software development experience, with a particular focus on object-oriented programming languages; numerous successful patent applications.

Intellectual Property Expertise
Active in Information and Communications technology IP since 2009, in particular in CD and DVD technology, but also in other areas such as batteries and bicycle technology, supporting the patent attorneys and since 2014 admitted as European Patent Attorney, respectively since 2019 as German patent attorney, in all patent-related matters, including patent applications, opposition procedures, patent nullity and infringements proceedings.
