Felicita Banzhaf
Felicita Banzhaf was admitted as German Patent Attorney in 2013 and as European Patent Attorney in 2014. During her several years’ professional engagement with a Munich automobile manufacturer, at first as a process planner in the bodywork sector and later on as a development engineer in the field of driving dynamics, Ms. Banzhaf gained extensive industrial experience and deep expertise in the automotive sector She joined WRST in 2016.


Parcours technique
1997-2002: Studies of industrial engineering with consolidation of knowledge in the field of systems for measurement and control, in particular in the fields of coordinate measuring technology, forming and joining technology, in particular low-temperature bonding (bonding, punch riveting); during her studies, work experience in the fields of engineering mechanics, measurement and control technology; several months of internships with BMW AG and Volvo Car Corporation, Gothenburg, Sweden, in the field of bodywork; diploma thesis at BMW AG’s pressing plant Dingolfing, Germany; after termination of studies, several months scientific assistant at Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing and Advanced Materials (IFAM), Bremen, in the field of bonding technique and surfaces; 2003-2005: process planner at BMW AG in the field vehicle bodies; 2005-2009: Development engineer in the field of driving dynamics at BMW AG, at first in a predevelopment project, later on in functional development

Activités juridiques
2009-2012: Educational training as patent attorney in a major Stuttgart-based patent law firm

Since 2013: Independent patent attorney with own law firm

Since 2016: Working with WRST as patent attorney

Drafting applications for protection of intellectual property rights, prosecution of German, European and international patent application procedures, enforcement and defense of industrial property rights in opposition and appeal proceedings, counselling in patent portfolio management; specific technical expertise in a wide range of general mechanical engineering, particularly in the automotive sector
