Our ITC practice group provides services regarding all aspects of intellectual property law for leading international and national clients in the ITC industry, where in-depth hands-on experience in the many different related technologies and their interplay, in international IP law and an ongoing inside knowledge of these fast-moving industries are pivotal for developing and implementing successful intellectual property strategies. The group comprises a team of patent attorneys, attorneys-at-law and patent engineers, many of which have a strong industry background in addition to their experience as attorney and legal counsel in these fields. 

The technical expertise of the ITC practice group covers a very broad range of both standardized and proprietary technologies, including in the fields of wireless and wireline communication and connectivity, computer HW/SW, network technologies, image/audio/video processing, security technology, UIs, mobile and fixed communication devices, chipcards, display and storage devices, and many more across all hardware and software levels from network through system and device down to circuit design and firmware.

The ITC practice group's legal and business expertise extends to building-up and evolving patent portfolios, including by preparing and prosecuting  patent applications and coordinating the world-wide prosecution of related applications in other jurisdictions, preparing infringement and validity opinions, enforcing and defending our clients' intellectual property rights and interests in litigation before the relevant courts and the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office. We also provide comprehensive consulting in the area of strategic IP management, including strategy definition, innovation and patent portfolio management, IP exploitation, risk management, IP processes and structures, as well as preparation and negotiation of IP and IT related transactions and contracts, such as IPR, technology and software licensing, R&D co-operations, IP in M&A, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
