Dr. Erich Fritsche
Dr. Erich Fritsche is admitted as German and as European Patent Attorney since 2005
and 2006, respectively. As a former consultant with focus on the healthcare and
pharmaceutical industry at Bain & Company, he perfectly understands the needs of the
companies in these sectors. Dr. Fritsche is partner at WRST.


Technical Expertise
Studies in Biochemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich (Switzerland); research fellow in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Prof. Dr. Robert Huber at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry in the field of X-ray protein crystallography; PhD with highest honors (summa cum laude) in 1998.

Intellectual Property Expertise
Active in the field of Intellectual Property since 2002; joined the firm WRST early in 2012 after working as a patent attorney in other renowned IP firms in Munich for several years.

Attacking, defending and enforcing patents in opposition and appeal proceedings, nullity actions, and infringement proceedings before the European and German Patent Offices as well as the German Federal Patent Court and German Federal Supreme Court; providing opinions with respect to invalidity, infringement and freedom-to-operate issues; drafting and prosecuting international, European and German patent applications; particular technical expertise in the fields of pharmaceutics, biotechnology, microbiology and immunology.
